Aishwarya.

Robo movie review: Endhiran Tamil movie reviews put Aishwarya on the margins as Rajnikanth is the only one being talked about. This is a reality, though onscreen and people are loving it like nothing else. Rajnikant and Aishwarya Rai starrer Robot or Endhiran is going very strong at the box office and film pundits are of the opinion that this film may set a new record in high film grossing.
It is the third day of the launch and you can see the long queues of film buff standing outside the theaters in search of the elusive tickets.
But sadly the tickets are not available and people have to return empty handed. But if you are lucky and you find someone selling the ticket, you may have to shell out extremely high price for it.

The celebrations will culminate in a Hindu wedding on Friday, a union that many say will create Bollywood's ultimate power couple. Rai is a former Miss World and Bachchan is the heir to India's most celebrated film family.
"Abhiash," as the Indian media dubs them, have been likened to Hollywood celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
The traditional pre-wedding party known as the "sangeet" will be held on Wednesday at the Bachchan residence in Mumbai.
The celebrations move on Thursday to Rai's home where the bride's hands will be painted with henna from the western state of Rajasthan, where British actress Elizabeth Hurley married her Indian husband in a Hindu ceremony last month.
Friday's wedding will be a low-key Hindu ceremony attended by a small group of friends and relatives because the groom's octogenarian grandmother is unwell, Indian media reports said.
Rai, 33, and Bachchan, 31 - son of iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan - got engaged in January after a short romance.
The Bachchans are guarding their privacy fiercely and have reportedly asked guests to keep mum about wedding details.
"The Bachchans have asked us not to speak about this wedding," said Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, an invitee.
The wedding is top news for the celebrity-obsessed Indian media, which has been seeking out every detail from the guest list to the couple's attire and their honeymoon plans.
HAVES AND HAVE-NOTS
An invitation to the Bachchan wedding appears to be so coveted that it has split the Indian film industry into haves and have-nots - those invited and those not invited.
Indian media said a noticeable omission from the guest list was Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan with whom the elder Bachchan has a running popularity battle, revealed in their recent veiled digs at each other.
"I have not been invited to the wedding. Regardless, I wish the couple best," Shah Rukh Khan told Mumbai tabloid Mid-day

Several celebrities attended the Red Carpet ceremony to mark the opening of the 63rd Cannes Film Festival this evening. They included Aishwarya Rai, who has been a permanent Cannes attendee for many years, since her movie, Devdas screened at the Festival in 2002. Some of the others who were part of the opening night celebration were the lead stars of the inaugural film Robin Hood.
Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchet. Salma Hayek, the sultry actress from Mexico who was part of the Festival jury along with India's Nandita Das in 2005, was also to be seen. Incidentally, Hollywood stars were conspicuously absent in a year that is gladly being seen by cinema lovers and critics as low on spice and sugar and high on art.
Rai is here as part of Mani Ratnam's Ravan, whose first look will be unveiled on May 17. Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Vikram (who performs in the Tamil version) will attend the evening along with Mani Ratnam. The bilingual work has been produced by Reliance Big Pictures and is slated for a June release.
Former Miss India Universe Pooja Gupta is all set to join the likes of beauties like Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra and others as she is foraying into the Bollywood with the film F.A.L.T.U.. The film will be hitting screens tomorrow (April 1, 2011).

She played a bubbly youthful college girl in the film. The actress, who is quite happy with her role in the film said that she wasn't missing being a quintessential 'sexy young' heroine in her debut effort.

The beautiful actress further said that her character in the film took her back to her college days and gave her back what she had almost missed. (Pooja had dropped out of college to contest in Miss India in 2007).
Pooja will be seen flaunting her to-die-for figure in a bikini in the film. When asked if she was uneasy wearing it, she answered not at all and said that they had a swimsuit round in Miss India as well. She added that it has been done very tastefully and nobody woud have any apprehensions about it.
F.A.L.T.U is a fun-filled comedy entertainer directed by a debutant Remo D'Souza. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani under the banner Puja Entertainment (India) Ltd. It stars Jackky Bhagnani, Puja Gupta, Riteish Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi. Many big stars like Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, R Madhavan, Sahil Khan and Kareena Kapoor appear in cameo roles as themselves.

Aishwarya Rai (Ash) is one of Bollywood's pre-eminent leading ladies. This Indian darling burst upon the world stage when her striking beauty, poise and commanding intelligence won her the Miss World crown in 1994. This former architecture major soon became one of India's most famous models landing a prestigious Pepsi campaign and appearing in Vogue Magazine. India's top Bollywood directors were soon lining up to work with Ash. Her film debut in Mani Rathnam's 'Iruvar' (1997) received critical acclaim and her performance in Aur Paar Ho Gaya' (1997) directed by Rahul Rawail garnered her the Best Female Debutante Award. In 2000 she was awarded Best Actress by FilmFare and Zee Cine for her work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam", in that same year, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her special appearance in Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein (2000). In 2001 Ash was nominated for FilmFare's Best Actress Award for Satish Kaushik's "Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai".
Ash's star continued to rise in 2002 working again with Sajay Leela Bhansali in 'Devdas'. 'Devdas' is the most ambitious and most successful film in Bollywood history. It became the first Bollywood picture to ever receive a special screening at this year's Cannes Film Festival and broke box-office records in India and the United States.
2003 brought even more exciting opportunities. Ash became the first Indian actor to be a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival. She is also the latest member of the elite L'Oreal Dream Team, joining beauties Catherine Deneuve & Andie MacDowell as their international ambassador. She graced the covers of India Today and the prestigious TIME Magazine. Time Magazine has also listed her on their list of the "100 Most Influential People in the World Today". She has graced numerous covers worldwide including USA, UK, China, Russia, Israel, United Emerites, Italy, Spain and France. Ash was also listed on Rolling Stone Magazine's annual "Hot List", Hello Magazine's Most Attractive Women in the World", Stuff Magazine, FHM magazine, V-Life from Variety Magazine, GQ Magazine, New York Times Magazine, Harper's & Queen and countless others.
2004 saw Aishwarya take on the leading role in her first English language film for Gurinder Chadha in "Bride & Prejudice". She also became the first Indian female to be immortalized in wax at the world famous Madame Tussaud's wax museum in London.
With over 17,000 websites dedicated to her, Ash finally launched her "Official Website" www.AishwaryaWorld.com
2005 started with appearances on "60 Minutes", "David Letterman Show" and the most watched television program in the world the "Oprah Winfrey Show". Aishwarya's career continues to grow even stronger - she will soon be seen in Mistress of Spices for director Paul Berges, Jag Mundhra's Provoked, Sanjay Gadhvi's Dhoom 2 and legendary film producer Dino De Laurentiis's The Last Legion opposite Colin Firth and Sir Ben Kingsley. The Queen of Bollywood is already becoming the talk of tinseltown and is currently in negotiations on two major motion pictures.
Though many from Bollywood will be in Mohali to watch the face-off between India and Pakistan in the World Cup’s semis today, actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, it is learned, will not be there. Pak Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will miss out on meeting Rai-Bachchan, apparently his favourite Bollywood actress.
The Pakistani PM has reportedly confessed, time and again, that he is a great fan of the doe-eyed beauty. Not only that, Gilani has also apparently written about his admiration for Rai-Bachchan in his book that he wrote when he was imprisoned during the regime of former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.
“Gilani has clearly written in his book, Chah-e-Yousuf Saay Sada, that he used to watch Rai-Bachchan’s movies on his laptop while he was in prison (during 2001-06) during the Pervez Musharraf regime. Since then, he’s been an ardent fan of the actor. We had discovered that while doing our research in scheduling his meeting with the then external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee in 2008,” says Mukherjee’s former aide.
Rai-Bachchan’s films had earlier played a part in diplomacy in 2008, when Pranab Mukherjee visited Pakistan. He had carried a DVD box of Rai-Bachchan’s movies. “It was a pleasant surprise for Gilani who has always listed Aishwarya and Shahrukh Khan as his favourite film stars. He was very happy and described it as a ‘pleasant surprise’ when he opened the box,” reveals the aide.
Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan says that his upcoming movie Guzaarish, which releases on Nov 19, is special to him because it changed the way he sees the world.
The actor unveiled the first look of the film, which stars Aishwarya Rai
Bachchan opposite him.
The 36-year-old actor plays a popular magician in the movie who becomes paraplegic after meeting with a near fatal accident. But, as luck would have it, Rai-Bachchan and Gilani will apparently not meet even as the Pakistani PM lands in Mohali for the India-Pakistan semi-final today.
According to a source, Aishwarya and Abhishek had originally planned to watch the match in Mohali. But “Aishwarya and Abhishek won’t be going to Mohali to watch the match this time. Theymight be at home watching the match,” says a source.
Hence, even though Indian officials would have loved it, Rai-Bachchan and Gilani won’t be meeting this time. However, rumours that efforts are on for arranging a meeting were doing the rounds.
